MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING ROBOTICS INFORMATION & TECHNOLOGY
Cimarron-Memorial High School's Career and Technical Academy is a comprehensive high school that offers distinct program areas of study. Students select their program of choice when applying for admission. Students within the academies will be cohorted together through the day as the attended core classes and academies classes together. Teachers were hand selected to ensure all classes meet the rigors and qualifications of a career and technical academy. Students will follow a four-year sequence of courses as specified for their program area. What sets our program apart from other career and technical academies is that we offer a unique hands-on experience through our senior project. All academy seniors will participate in the designing, construction, programming, and marketing of our FRC Robotics Team 987 robot. Students can choose coursework in Information Technology Systems or Manufactured Engineering Technology. Honors and Advanced Placement classes will be offered at CMHS to prepare students to transition to post-secondary institutions. Rigorous coursework, hands-on projects, job-shadowing, and internships will give students first-hand experience in their selected program areas. In addition, students will have the opportunity to earn college credits through the 2+2 Tech Prep program and through Advanced Placement Courses.
